New pink tide in Latin-America – why the continent is turning to the left?

We try to highlight the reasons behind the complex crisis in Latin America and giving scenarios for its future. In the last two years the voters of Latin American elections turned to leftist, socialist, sometimes communist parties and politicians with the aim to solve the existential social crisis caused by the COVID-pandemic, the "secondary" effects of the Russian-Ukraine war and bad political management in most of the countries. The most recent election is on the 2nd of October in Brazil, where the controversial incumbent President Jair Bolsonaro faces the former president Inacio Lula da Silva.
