Creative Code Meetup
Creative Code Budapest is a community meetup for new media artists, pixel tinkerers, arduino masters, nerds, habitants of virtual and augmented realities and curious people.
Our mission is to spread knowledge about computational art, build bridges with other disciplines, support each other's projects and, maybe, inspire you to start your own... :)
Our meetups are free and open to all, regardless of age, origin, gender or experience. They are an opportunity to meet likeminded people, share inspiration and get creative together in a relaxed and safe environment. Beginners and first-timers should feel especially welcome!
We are going to have 3 short talks, some time for questions, and more time to just hang out. The meetup is in English.
Eszter Várhidi
Eszter Várhidi is a playful adventurer in the realms of games and game-likes. Their work revolves around common human experiences, whether it’s through the games they design or organizing industry events such as game jams, talks, and workshops. Seeing play as a means not only to joy but critical thinking and personal growth, they are particularly interested in ways to bring playfulness into everyday life.
Mario Guzman
Mario Guzman is a mexican researcher and new media artist merging language with audiovisual phenomena, web development, electronic art, algorithmic literature, and robotics. In his work, he explores the communication between human and non-human agents, robot-human interaction, and different methods to encode perception and narrative through technology.
He wants to bring code, storytelling, and culture together. From his perspective, writing is a performative process that creates meaningful scenarios in which humans and machines participate together in the creation and negotiation of meaning as an interactive experience.
