Advances and Challenges of Large Language Models
Large Language Models (LLMs) are cutting-edge technology for processing human language. These powerful models are built on complex architectures called Transformers, which allow them to analyze massive amounts of text data to perform a wide range of natural language processing (NLP) tasks with remarkable accuracy. They can be further fine-tuned for specific applications, such as generating different creative text formats, translating languages, or writing different kinds of content. LLMs have revolutionized the NLP field by enabling tasks like machine translation, automated writing assistance, and chatbots that can hold conversations.
In this seminar we will discuss LLM challenges including ethical considerations regarding bias in training data, the immense computational resources required to run them, and data privacy concerns surrounding the vast amount of information they process.
